Vanitas room installation at the opening of the exhibition 'Intersection' 2013, London.
The look of the room was completely changed from an industrial office block floor plate into a surreal space of sound light and installation works. Blacking out all the windows with heavy black draped fabric, together with the installed industrial lighting units being 'light blocked in fabric with only a thin line of deep bottle green light being emitted directly below; signfying passageways and public areas for the public visitors.
The artworks themselves were all illuminated with hand made lighting units direct from the artists studio.

Makers Place becomes the first carbon neutral aluminium and plastic recycling facility to be setup in the Maldives. The facility aims to tackle plastic and aluminium drinks industry waste in the region.
This project helps ensure oceans stay clean for habitat and species protection from the drinks & confectionary industry which creates vast amounts of pollution and waste in the region.
The facility, equipment & processes were built from the ground up by artist Alexander James Hamilton working with the Soneva Namoona Foundation. The green credentials for this groundbreaking facility is brought about by conserving every drop of water used in a custom designed closed loop wash station, and, by capturing all carbon and polluting emissions with a custom VOC carbon filtration system.
The facility is called 'Makers Place', read more about this project here.
