Author: Distil Ennui | Post Date: 12-01-2022'Fusion' can be seen to reference contemporary environmental concerns - representing the destruction and havoc we are inflicting on nature and our planet as a species. This series was started as a result of the BP Oil disaster where 5 million barrels of oil poured into the Gulf of Mexico 20th April 2010. The gusher that was left behind after the Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded and sank is still leaking to this date.
10 years on I revisit this series which is still developing to this day as species extinction accelerates and environmental degradation continues at ever increasing rates despite the political rhetoric not enough is being done - especially on the subject of plastics and carbon emissions.
