Author: Distil Ennui | Post Date: 26-04-2021From the archives of the 'Swarm' 2008-2012 & 'Transparency of a dream' 2013-2016 this collection of interim bubble works have often been referenced to in the studio. With over two hundred 5 * 4 inch analogue film plates all hand processed in the studio, here are just a few of those that conjure up abstract imagery of skulls and dream like qualities. As with all my works, these are presented as show with no post production; either traditional 'darkroom' or digital 'PhotoShop'.
To me using post production of any kind would be like pouring concrete down a water well. Photography is the core tool I use to negotiate my idea of reality, it is therefore my responsibility to not contribute with anaesthetic images but rather to provide images that shake consciousness.
